|
Pasacancha was a former underground mine in operation by a company called Minera Tarica in approximately the 1950’s. They were mining the high grade silver, lead and zinc veins. The mine was later abandoned due to high mining costs and the lack of infrastructure. At this time they did not have knowledge of porphyry rock.
