Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corp. (FMEC) has an option to earn up to an 80% interest in the Pebble South property. FMEC can earn an initial 60% interest by funding US $1.8 million in exploration over four years, including a minimun 2,000m drilling program in the first year. Subsequently, FMEC can earn an additional 20% interest in the property
