Sodankyla Project is located in the Central Lapland Greenstone belt in Finland.

| Geology of the SODANKYLA Project |
|
|
The Sodankyla area is underlain by Lower Proterozoic metasediments and metavolcanics. The structure is complex – there are two dominant fault zones, the Sodankyla Fault striking N130degreesE and the Kemijarvi Fault striking N150degreesE. The two fault zones intersect to the south of Sodankyla.
