Location of the Canning Basin Project |
The Canning Basin is one of a series of large Palaeozoic intracratonic basins in northwestern and central Australia. It covers an area on shore of about 530,000 square kilometres, is bounded to the north by the Precambrian Kimberly Block and to the south and southeast by the Pilbara and Musgrave blocks.
