The Dixie Fork property is situated along a major west-northwest-trending, Rain Fault-parallel, high-angle graben bounding fault (Figures 7.3) which separates younger, down-dropped upper plate black shales of the Woodruff Formation in the interior of the graben from lower plate sandy strata of the Mississippian Chainman Formation.
