Location of the Cazula Project |
The project area is accessed from the major town of Tete by tar road (approximately 40 km) followed by gravel road (approximately 70 km). Tete has a good domestic airport with regular flights from Maputo, the capital of Mozambique.

History of the Cazula Project |
Gold and minor amounts of copper were mined during the 1700’s and again more recently, prior to 1978. It appears that mining has only been undertaken within the oxidized zone (up to 80m depth) and where significant difficulties were not encountered with ground water.
