History of the Encrucijada Project
Copper mineralization on the Encrucijada property is reported to have been exploited since the 19th century. More recently the gold potential of the property has been explored by Cominco and by Newmont.

Geology of the Encrucijada Project
The Encrucijada property hosts a gold and silver bearing, epithermal quartz vein system. The extent of the system and its overall potential has yet to be determined. The largest vein structure, Vein A, occurs along a strike length of 1 km and roughly follows a creek valley (“Quebrada Corcovado”).
