The Taurus Deposit sits on the Cassiar Gold Property which covers approximately 17,500 hectares located in the Liard Mining Division, north-central British Columbia,
approximately 8 kilometres east of the former town site of Cassiar, B.C., 117 kilometres north of Dease Lake, B.C., and 141 kilometres south of Watson Lake, Yukon Territory.

History of the Taurus project (Cassiar) |
The Taurus deposit was actively operated in the early 1950s and again in the early 1980s. The high-grade areas were eventually abandoned and attention turned to a large low-grade mineralized zone, where approximately 370 holes have been drilled.

The Taurus Deposit and surrounding area are underlain by an upright sequence of Division II massive to pillowed to rarely amygdaloidal, medium grey-green basaltic
flows, chert and argillite, occasional ultramafic flows or sills, and mafic and lamprophyre dykes.
