Geology of the Sekenke Project |
|
The geology of the Iramba Plateau consists of Late Archean basalts, metasedimentary rocks, schists derived from acid volcanic rocks, BIF and granites. The SJV has identified a 12,000 m X 800 m highly prospective structure of sheared metabasalts that hosts numerous quartz reefs. Assay results from rock chip samples indicate significant Au anomalies in the quartz reefs.
