The San Andres Gold Mine is located in the municipality of La Union, Department of Copan, Honduras, approximately 300 kilometres northwest of the country’s capital city, Tegucigalpa, and covers 399 hectares.
 
History of the San Andrés (Christo) Mine
Production at the San Andres Mine commenced in 1983 as an open-pit, heap-leach operation and currently processes approximately 350,000 tonnes of ore per month. A new crusher-conveyor system is under construction, and is expected to reduce cash costs and sustain production at approximately 470,000 tonnes of ore per month beginning in March 2010.
