Timmins is located at the west end of the Timmins gold mining district, 18 kilometres west of the city and 42 kilometres by road from the Bell Creek Mill.

Gold was discovered on the TW Property in 1911 but did not receive serious exploration attention until the 1990’s when Holmer Gold Mines Limited (“Holmer”) completed 44 diamond drill holes totalling about 9,000 m and completed a Mineral Resource estimate.
