The Fifield Project is located approximately 400 kilometres west of Sydney near the small village of Fifield in central New South Wales.
 
History of the Fifield Project
The Fifield bodies have been compared to Alaskan-type ultramafics which occur in belts of similar size in south-eastern Alaska, USA and in the Ural Mountains, USSR. Economic alluvial platinum deposits have been recorded from both the Alaskan and Soviet intrusions, however, no primary PGM mines have been developed.
