The Yerington mine is the center of a prolific copper district. Significant tonnages of copper oxide and sulfide mineralization remain below and peripheral to the Yerington pit and much of the area between the pit and the MacArthur deposit remains under-explored, including the large and only partially delineated Bear deposit.
