The Sumsar Licence is located in the Ala-Buka region of the Jalalabat oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic.
 
History of the sumsar Project
Exploration work during the 1950s resulted in the discovery of the Sumsar uranium deposit in the centre of the license area. It is understood that the mineralisation was located in beds 0.65 metres thick with grades of between 0.077% to 0.165% U3O8.  more...
 
Geology of the sumsar Project
The regional geology of this licence area is a continuation of that described for the Naryn licence. The main units of interest which host uranium mineralisation are the Palaeogene limestone deposits that trend east – west across this part of the country.
