Past exploration in the area has focused on two occurrences of folded sulphidic iron formation in the southeastern part of the property where the last drill program in 1988 produced gold assays of 10.7 g/t Au over 4.38m, 21.3 g/t Au over 2.87m and 27.4 g/t Au over 4.70m.
