The Compin prospect is located about 30-35 kilometres southwest of the Masma prospect. The property lies between 1,200 and 2,750 m asl.

| Geology of the Compin Project |
|
|
The regional geology is made up of sedimentary rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Chimu, Santa and Carhuaz formations, folded into synclines and anticlines along an east-west axis. Small stocks, mainly granodiorite, intrude into the sequence.
