Location of the Bakouma Project |
The Bakouma deposit is a uranium prospect located 4 km north of the town of Bakouma in the Mbomou district of the Central African Republic, 550 km east of the capital Bangui and 100 km north of the district administrative centre of Bangassou.

History of the Bakouma Project |
The Bakouma uranium mineralisation has been known since the early 1960s and was extensively explored throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

Geology of the Bakouma Project |
|
The base complex is composed of strongly metamorphosed gneiss and granite, overlain by the Bangui Ketté series, comprising mica schists alternating with fine to course grained quartzites. Pre-Cambrian sediments overlie the Bangui Ketté series.
