The Stillwater Extension claims are located approximately 5 miles southeast of the Stillwater Mine and cover a projected eastern extension of J-M Reef.
 
History of the Stillwater Extension Claims Project
The Johns Manville Corporation discovered palladium and platinum along the J-M Reef of the Stillwater Complex in the early 1970’s. In 1979, a Manville subsidiary partnered with Chevron to develop the property. Underground operations at the Stillwater Mine commenced in 1986. Shoshone Silver Mining Company purchased the Stillwater Claims in 2003.
