Location of the Windarra Project |
Windarra Project comprises 8 Exploration Licences, 3 Mining Leases, 6 Prospecting Licences and 1 Mining Lease Special Agreement covering an aggregate area of approximately 300km². |
History of the Windarra Project |
The project area has dominantly been the focus of nickel exploration, and as such is still relatively underexplored from a gold perspective. The majority of work conducted over the project area was by Western Mining Corporation (WMC) in the 1980s/1990s, and, although some gold exploration was conducted, nickel was clearly WMC’s priority.

|
Geology of the Windarra Project |
|
The Windarra region forms part of the Mt Margaret Goldfield. Mafic-ultramafic, metavolcanic and intrusive rocks form the majority of the stratigraphy of the Windarra portion of the Laverton greenstone belt.
