Location of the Bas Congo Project
Loncor has interests in two properties in the Bas Congo Province of the DRC, located approximately 250 kilometres southwest of Kinshasa, the capital city.

History of the Bas Congo Project
Forminiere, a Belgian mining company, conducted small scale regional prospecting in this area during the 1930s to 1950s. This was done by excavating small pits across the flood plain of the local drainages in the area. Their work recovered over 40,000 oz of gold, mostly within these alluvial gravels.
