The Chisay-Oxec licence SGM SEXR-895 is located in the Department of Alta Verapaz, 140 kilometres northeast of Guatemala City in the municipality of Cahabón.
 
History of the Chisay-Oxec Project
The Oxec copper mine was operated by Transmetales (Basic Resources Inc.), a subsidiary of Anglo-American, from 1974 to 1978, and produced about 600,000 tonnes of ore with an average grade close to 3% Cu from an underground mine and from an open pit.
