History of the Campos Basin Project
The first field that was discovered with commercial volume in the Campos Basin was Garoupa, in 1974, at a depth of 100 meters. In the following year, Petrobras found the Namorado field, and in 1976, Enchova. That was the beginning of a long series of discoveries. The path was the sea. In 1985, Petrobras discovered the first giant offshore field, such as Marlim, Roncador, Barracuda, and Caratinga.
