Candelaria mine is located about 12 miles south of Copiapó, in the Third Region of Chile. It also has a port facility, Punta Padrones, in Caldera, about 50 miles northwest from the mine.

History of the Candelaria Project |
Discovered as a copper deposit in 1987, the open-pit copper mine has been in operation since 1993.

|
The Candelaria mine is iron oxide, copper/gold deposit. Millable primary sulfide mineralization consists of chalcopyrite.
