History of the KEY LAKE Project |
During the 1970's and 1980's, extensive exploration was done primarily in the area of the Key Lake mine by Uranerz. Regional geochemical and geophysical studies located numerous anomalies in the district and some of these targets were drilled prior to the discovery of the Key Lake mine.

Geology of the KEY LAKE Project |
Project areas cover different geologic environments, one overlies Athabasca sandstone and conglomerates (50 to 150 metres to basement). The other two cover exposures of the underlying Wollaston domain. The Wollaston domain is of Lower Proterozoic (Trans-Hudson) age and is composed of metamorphosed sediments (Psammites, Pelites, and minor Calc-Silicates).
