Geology of the Dieu Merci Project |
|
Like other pre-Cambian shields, the Guiana shield is made up of a regional series of geological formations including granite and ancient sedimentary and volcanic rock, called the Paramaca greenstone belt. The structure and texture of these rock formations is very similar to that of volcanic and sedimentary rocks which is considered to be favorable to gold deposition.
