Location of the Dolores Mine |
The Dolores mine is an open pit gold and silver mine located in northern Mexico, in the State of Chihuahua, approximately 155 miles west of the city of Chihuahua.

History of the Dolores Mine |
Mining in the Dolores region started in the 1800's. Mechanized production occurred between 1915 and 1929,
with no records of any production since that time. Incomplete mining records from 1922 to 1931 indicate that
total production during this time was about 372,000 tonnes of ore containing over 116,000 ounces of gold and
6 million ounces of silver.
