In February of 2007, Bear Creek granted Chapleau Resources an option to earn 51% of La Yegua by spending US$2.77 million on exploration and issuing shares valued at US$350,000 over four years. Chapleau can increase its interest to 75% by issuing another 1.25 million shares.

The terms of the option agreement allows Chapleau to earn 51% interest in the property by spending a total amount of US$2,775 million in exploration over a four year period and the granting of the equivalent of US$350 000 in Chapleau shares during the four years. With the issuance of an additional 1, 25 million shares Chapleau may increase the vested interest from 51% to 75%.
Location of the La Yegua Project
La Yegua is situated about 100 km southwest of the city of Cusco and about 250 km from the Pacific Coast. Access to the property is by paved highway from Cusco to Nasca, and then by a well-maintained dirt road that traverses the eastern edge of the claim block.
