Location of the Tau Tona Project
The West Wits operations – comprising the Mponeng, Savuka and TauTona mines – are located near the town of Carletonville in North West Province, south-west of Johannesburg, straddling the boundary with Gauteng. Savuka and TauTona share a processing plant, while Mponeng has its own processing plant.
 
History of the Tau Tona Project
