Also, during the year we entered into the Converse and Sand Creek uranium exploration joint ventures to explore for uranium in Converse and Niobrara counties of Wyoming. This is an area that Canyon and previous partners had explored in the late 1970s and early 1980s and were successful in discovering uranium mineralization.
 
Geology of the Converse & sand creek uranium Project
The uranium mineralization in the Converse Project area is hosted in the sandstones of the White River Group, which is composed of the Brule Formation and the underlying Chadron Formation. Both of these formations were deposited in a continental environment
