Norseman is located 725 kilometres east of Perth and midway between Kalgoorlie and Esperance. Croesus Norseman Operations tenements cover a 660km2 area centered on the Norseman Township. The treatment plant and one of the operating mines, Bullen, is located approximately 0.7 kilometres east of town.

The rocks within the Norseman Project can be subdivided into 3 distinct formations. The Penneshaw, Noganyer and the Woolyeenyer Formations.
