Khandiza is a high-grade zinc, silver, copper, lead, and gold deposit located in the Sariasia region of southeast Uzbekistan, in Surkhandarya Province, 50 kilometres from the regional towns of Sariasia and Denau.
 
History of the Khandiza Project
In line with Oxus Gold's renewed focus on gold, and the restructuring of the company, the Khandiza asset now resides in Marakand Minerals Limited, listed on AIM in December 2003.
