Geology of the MT ANDREW Project |
The style of mineralization and alteration encountered at Mount Andrew suggests an IOCG (iron-oxide copper-gold) system, analogous to 'Candeleria-type' magnetite dominant systems in northern Chile. Copper mineralization occurs within semi-massive to massive magnetite bodies within andesitic volcanic rocks, and intermediate intrusive rocks, later cross-cut by post-mineralization dykes.
