The Valkeisenranta Project is located in the municipality of Leppävirta in Eastern Finland, 40 km south of the city of Kuopio.Valkeisenranta lies 1 km SE of the old Kotalahti nickel mine.

| History of the Valkeisenranta Project |
|
Discovered in 2000 by the Geological Survey of Finland, Valkeisenranta lies 1 km SE of the old Kotalahti nickel mine, from which 12 Mt of nickel ore averaging 0.7%Ni, 0.3% Cu was extracted between 1957 and 1987. The nickel ore is open up and down plunge and is presently defined between 100-400 metres below surface.
