During 2006 Wescan staked ground in the Limestone Lake region of northeastern Saskatchewan in an area that is adjacent to the previous base metal producer Hanson Lake Mine and just to the west of the McIlvenna Bay polymetallic deposit.

The area has been previously flown with aerial geophysics with indicated anomalies and in an area highly prospective for base metal occurrences.
