Situated some 80 km to the west of the city of Kimberley, in the Northern Cape Province of the RSA.

| Geology of the Schmidtsdrift Project |
|
|
Diamond deposits within the area consist of both primary kimberlite and secondary alluvial deposits. Alluvial deposits of diamonds occur in patches along the Vaal River from the town of Windsorton 130 km upstream from the property to the deposits at Saxondrift a further 100 km downstream of the property.
