The Laverton Tectonic Zone (“LTZ”) is the dominant geological feature through the region and comprises a greenstone belt, which is bounded by the granitoids of the Laverton Dome to the northwest and the Kirgella Dome to the southeast and by the north-northwest trending Mt Celia and Mt Varden-Burtville fault zones.
