History of the GAS HILLS Project
Historically, the Gas Hills was the second largest uranium producing region in the United States, having produced in excess of 100 million pounds of uranium concentrates from 1957-1989. Historical production was from open pit mining from surface to 500 feet deep where the uranium is hosted within roll-front deposits
