History of the SCOTIA MINE -
The Scotia Zinc Project is comprised of two key elements: The Scotia Mine at Gays River, Nova Scotia owned 100% through subsidiary ScoZinc Ltd., and a large holding of exploration claims totalling approximately 47,000 hectares predominantly in the Carboniferous age Windsor Group carbonate rocks, the same rock group hosting the Scotia Mine zinc-lead deposits.

Geology of the SCOTIA MINE -
The Scotia Mine deposit occurs along the southern margin of the large (more than 250,000 km2) and deep (more than 12 kilometres) late Palaeozoic Fundy (Magdalen) Basin, bordered on the northwest by the New Brunswick platform, and on the south by the Meguma platform The Scotia Mine mineralization has long been considered a Mississippi Valley-type (“MVT”) lead-zinc deposit.
