VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 5, 2012) - First Quantum Minerals Ltd. ("First Quantum" or the "Company") (News - Market indicators)(LSE:FQM) today advised that its 2011 Annual Report, Annual Information Form, Notice of Meeting, Management Information Circular and Proxy Form are now available online at www.first-quantum.com and on the SEDAR website at www.sedar.com.

Annual Meeting of Shareholders

The Company will host its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) in The Gallery of the TMX Broadcast Centre, The Exchange Tower, 130 King Street West, Toronto, ON, M5X 1J2, Canada.

A management update on the Company's copper and nickel growth projects is scheduled to be presented following the formalities of the meeting.
