Orsu announces board and committee appointments

Orsu Metals Corporation (�Orsu�, or the �Company�), formerly European Minerals Corporation, the London-based base and precious metal mining, production, exploration and development company, announces the following:

1. Appointment of Mr Mark Corra to the Board of Directors and as Lead Independent Director;
2. Changes to the Committees of the Board and;
3. The appointment of Dr Alexander Yakubchuk as Director of Exploration.

The appointment of Mr Mark Corra as a non-executive director to the Orsu Board took effect from 7 July 2008 subject to TSX approval. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Mr Corra holds the position of Senior VP Finance and CFO of B2Gold Corp. since April 2007. Prior to this he worked for 17 years with Bema Gold Corporation. A Certified Management Accountant with a diploma in financial management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Mr Corra currently oversees financial reporting, cash management, tax planning and is a member of the management committee for B2Gold Corp. Mr Mark Anthony Corra, aged 52, is or has been a director of the following companies within the last five years:

With reference to the above Board appointment, no further information is required to be announced pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the London Stock Exchange's AIM Rules for Companies.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Alexander Yakubchuk, a director of the Company, as Director of Exploration. He previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company, immediately following the completion of the business combination of Lero Gold Corp. and European Minerals Corporation.
