Inca Pacific Appoints Chief Operating Officer

Vancouver, British Columbia, February 4, 2008 - Inca Pacific Resources
Inc. (TSX-V:IPR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas (Tom)
Kelly as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Kelly has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Mining Engineering from
the Colorado School of Mines and is a Fellow of Aus.IMM and a
Registered Member of SME. He has over 34 years of world-wide mineral
industry experience including underground and open pit mining, project
development, project management, corporate management and consulting
services. Mr. Kelly has held senior positions with Freeport-McMoRan
Copper & Gold Inc., AMEC Americas and other recognized industry-leading
companies. He is a recognized expert in project management and
development. Mr. Kelly will be based in Lima, Peru.
Anthony Floyd, President & CEO said "Tom Kelly has extensive experience
in Latin America. This will be invaluable to Inca Pacific as we build
our operating group and move Magistral towards production".
Bernard Stannus, currently Vice President Mining, will assume the
position of Vice-President Corporate Development.
Inca Pacific is developing the Magistral copper-molybdenum project
located 450 kms north-north west of Lima in the Department of Ancash,
Peru. A final feasibility study was completed in 2007 and is available
