MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Mar 25, 2014) - Bowmore Explorations Ltd. (the "Company" or "Bowmore") (TSX VENTURE:BOW)(0B5.F) is pleased to announce that it has obtained all necessary permits and licenses for its Phase One drill program on the La Scie Gold property, located on the eastern extremity of the Baie Verte peninsula in Newfoundland. The objective of the Phase One 1,500 metre diamond drill program will be to 1) test the three gold zones (Burton, Isaiah, and Jonah) that have thus far been identified on the property (see news release dated November 26, 2013), 2) test the broad zone of high purity silica averaging 99.4% SiO2 following the summer-fall 2013 regional rock sampling program (see news release dated January 16, 2014). The high purity silica zone is part of an E-W trending, 2,500 metre-long silicified zone and is exposed on surface with a minimum length of 290 metres by 3.5 to 15 metres in apparent width.

Further to the discovery of the high purity silica zone, the Company conducted detailed analytical tests to determine impurity levels within the silica. Trace element analyses were performed on the seven grab samples taken from this zone, producing excellent results as follows:

Samples reported above were sent for analysis at ALS Minerals laboratory in Vancouver, BC. (accreditation ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025) by using a 0.5g subsample from the pulps of the previous samples, crushed and pulverized to 70 microns by tungsten pulverizer. The samples were digested with aqua regia and analyzed by ICP-AES and ICP-MS methods (inductively couples plasma-atomic emission spectrometry). For QaQc protocols, ALS Minerals inserted one duplicate, one blank and 2 standard to compare and ensure accuracy of the results.
