KIMBERLITE READY FOR
SHIPMENT
Snowfield Development
Corp. (?Snowfield? or the ?Company?) is pleased to announce that it has
completed the crushing and bagging of 500 tonnes of kimberlite extracted from
its Mud Lake kimberlite discovery. This operation was carried out on site under
industry standard normal procedures. The crushed kimberlite is contained in 337
sealed bags and is now ready for onward transportation to the DeBeers Canada
Exploration Ltd. (?DeBeers?) Dense Media Separation Plant located in Grande
Prairie, AB for further processing.
Upon consulting with DeBeers, the Company has been advised that DeBeers
anticipates being able to start processing the 500 tonne bulk sample sometime
between November 2007 and January 2008. Snowfield is currently negotiating to
have the kimberlite barged to Yellowknife or Hay River for onward trucking to
Grande Prairie to meet DeBeers anticipated schedule. As has been previously
noted De Beers is providing the service of their Dense Media Separation Plant at
no cost to, and with no obligation from, Snowfield.
The Mud Lake kimberlite, part of Snowfield?s Ticho Project, is located on
the shore of Great Slave Lake, approximately 50 km southeast of Yellowknife,
Northwest Territories. Diamond drilling is currently underway on the
approximately 16,000 hectare (40,000 acres) claim group comprising the Ticho
Project. It is anticipated that this drilling will lead to the discovery of
further kimberlite bodies as geophysical and geochemical surveys have given
compelling indications of such, as yet undiscovered, kimberlites. Drilling will
continue, on an ongoing basis, through the remainder of 2007 and into 2008. The Company has two diamond drills on
site and these drills are committed to the Ticho Project for the foreseeable
future. With a fully winterized
camp on site, Snowfield has the ability to continue its geophysical, geochemical
and prospecting programs now underway, in conjunction with this drilling program.
