Title: Duluth Metals Cuts New High Grade Zone Below Nokomis Deposit
TORONTO, Ontario, April 2, 2008 -- Duluth Metals Limited ("Duluth Metals") (TSX: DM) (TSX:DM.U) today announced it had intersected a new footwall zone of higher grade mineralization in the Giants Range Batholith below the lower contact of the Duluth Complex where the main Nokomis copper-nickel-PGE mineralization is situated. Hole MEX-084, cut 0.850% copper, 0.302% nickel with 0.916 grams per tonne (g/t) of Total Precious Metals (TPM = Platinum+Palladium+Gold) and 3.18 g/t silver over 137.8 feet. The lower part of this interval includes 68.9 feet at 1.03% copper, 0.270% nickel with 1.068 g/t TPM and 4.08 g/t silver.
Hole MEX-086, drilled 200 metres south of MEX-084, also intersected high grade mineralization within the new horizon below the Nokomis deposit. MEX-086 intersected 120.0 feet of 0.921% copper, 0.290% nickel, with 0.974 g//t TPM and 3.53 g/t silver within the Nokomis horizon, and then intersected two high grade zones 55 and 190 feet below the main mineralization. These high grade zones assayed 1.705% copper, 0.427% nickel with 1.395 g/t TPM and 5.75 g/t silver over 10.0 feet and 1.390% copper, 0.199% nickel with 2.809 g/t TPM and 11.33 g/t silver over 15.0 feet, respectively.
"These results from MEX-084 open up a new dimension to this project", stated Dr. Henry Sandri, President and CEO of Duluth, "In addition, results from our recent drilling on the Nokomis horizon in this same area are returning some of the best intersections we have drilled to date. The new high grade footwall mineralization adds significantly to the potential in this area, particularly when one considers that historic hole NM-04, located just south of our property boundary, reportedly intersected 130 feet of 0.87% copper, 0.06% nickel, including 30 feet of 1.55% copper, 0.10% nickel within these same footwall rocks about three quarters of a mile southeast of MEX-084 and MEX-086."
Holes MEX-088 and MEX-090, drilled 200 to 400 meters to the east of MEX-084 and MEX-086 extended the Nokomis deposit down dip to the east in this area. MEX-088, the furthest hole down-dip in this area intersected 0.939% copper, 0.223% nickel with 1.691 g/t TPM and 3.48 g/t silver over 152.4 feet, making it one of the best holes drilled on the property. Further drilling will be needed to delineate mineralization to the south.
A more detailed summary of the assay results for holes MEX-084, MEX-086, MEX-088 and MEX-090 all drilled in the southwest area, can be found in the table below. True width is estimated at about 90% of core length.

For the 2008 drill program, half core samples have been prepared at ALS Chemex Ltd. laboratories in Thunder Bay and then shipped to its analytical facilities in Vancouver. Samples are being analyzed for Au, Pt, and Pd using a standard fire assay with an ICP finish and for 27 other elements using a four acid (near total) digestion and a combination of ICPMS and ICPAES. ICP over limits were re-analyzed using sodium peroxide fusion, acid dissolution followed by ICPAES. The remaining half core samples are being stored in Minnesota.
Currently five drills are turning on the property. Two of the rigs are continuing with large diameter PQ core drilling with the objective of providing large bulk sample material for further metallurgical test work.
David Oliver, P. Geo. and Duluth Project Manager is the Qualified Person, in accordance with NI 43-101 of the Canadian Securities Administrators, and is responsible for the technical content of this press release and quality assurance of the exploration data and analytical results.
About Duluth Metals
Duluth is committed to acquiring, exploring and developing copper, nickel and platinum group metal (PGM) deposits. Duluth's principal property is the Nokomis Deposit located within the rapidly emerging Duluth Complex mining camp in northeastern Minnesota. The Duluth Complex hosts one of the world's largest undeveloped repositories of copper, nickel and PGMs, including the world's third largest accumulation of nickel sulphides, and one of the world's largest accumulations of polymetallic copper and platinum group metals.
