DeBeers
Processed 100 Tonnes of Bulk Sample
BULK SAMPLE
Snowfield Development Corp.
(?Snowfield? or the ?Company?) has been notified by DeBeers Canada Exploration
Ltd. (?DeBeers?) that the first 100 tonnes of the 500 tonne bulk sample of the
Mud Lake kimberlite has been processed through DeBeers? Dense Media Separation
Plant in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The processing yielded 1559.71kg of
concentrate which was divided into two batches. One batch, weighing 518.80kg, of
concentrate has been shipped by air freight with Brink?s Canada Limited ? Global
Services to DeBeers? Laboratory in Johannesburg, South Africa for diamond
recovery, with scheduled arrival next week. The second batch, comprising 1559.71kg of kimberlite concentrate, has been sent by truck to the Saskatchewan
Research Council?s Laboratory in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where it will arrive
this evening, December 13, 2007.
Snowfield had originally intended to divide the concentrate into three
batches with the third batch being sent to the Kennecott Canada Exploration?s
Laboratory in Thunder Bay, Ontario. However, the Company has been informed by
Kennecott that due to scheduled maintenance the concentrate could not be processed in time to meet Snowfield?s schedule. Results, with diamond counts,
are expected to be available from the Saskatchewan Research Council?s Laboratory
by early February 2008. DeBeers expects to have their diamond counts available
by the end of March 2008.
DRILLING
Snowfield has scheduled the Christmas break for their drill crews from
December 15, 2007 with drilling resuming January 8, 2008.
The Ticho Project, hosting the diamondiferous Mud Lake kimberlite, is
located approximately 50km South East of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The
remaining 400 tonnes of the 500 tonne bulk sample of diamondiferous kimberlite
is expected to be trucked to the DeBeers Dense Media Separation Plant by mid
February 2008. As has previously been reported, DeBeers is providing their Dense
Media Separation services at no cost to, and with no obligation from,
Snowfield.
