TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 2, 2011) - Stroud Resources Ltd. (News - Market indicators) ("Stroud") today announced the latest results from its drill program at the Santo Domingo Project in central Mexico. The most recent drill holes are very encouraging and demonstrate the continuity of the mineralized zone both along strike and down dip and returned significant silver and gold values. The holes were drilled on section 5475N (previously Stroud had only one hole on this section).
Mr. George Coburn CEO of Stroud stated that he is very encouraged by the current round of drilling. Wide zones of good grade silver and gold mineralization have been encountered in these recent drill holes. Section 5475 N was originally considered to host only relatively narrow zones (10 to 12 metres) of mineralization but the current drilling demonstrates that the zone is 4 or 5 times wider than originally thought at Section 5475N.

The drill core sampling program includes onsite supervision of sampling by Dr. Stew Fumerton. He has included insertion of random blanks and certified reference material. The drill core is sawed in half, with one half sent out for assay and the other half stored in Stroud's secure facility. Gold was determined by Fire Assay with an AA finish whereas silver was determined by ICP after a four acid total digestion. About 20% of the samples have been checked by re-assaying using the more traditional Fire Assay gravimetric finish. George Coburn, P.Geo., President and CEO of Stroud Resources Ltd., is the Qualified Person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 for the project, and has prepared or supervised the preparation of all scientific and technical data contained in this news release, including sampling, analytical and test data. Analytical work is performed by ALS Minerals in Vancouver, BC (ISO 9001) Certified Assayers.
Stroud is a debt-free exploration company focused on the discovery and exploration of silver and gold deposits in Mexico and Ontario. Stroud owns a 100% interest in the Santo Domingo epithermal silver-gold project in central Mexico.
