  Commander Resources: Photos and information available from the Storm Copper property visit. Financing closed.

Ken Leigh has returned from a property visit to our new Storm Copper project in Nunavut. The visit, with Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle, was successful in completing the necessary verification sampling and site assessments on the project. This will provide the info required to complete the 43-101 report that is currently being prepared. Pictures and information from the visit are currently being displayed in a slide show on our homepage.

As previously disclosed the Storm Property was acquired for $15,000 in April of this year. It is an advanced high grade copper opportunity with potential for high grade concentrates and four zones known from historical drilling. Drill intercepts include 5.05% Cu over 53.2 metres. It also hosts a Zinc zone located on tidewater with intercepts including 10.5% Zn, 28 g/t Ag over 18 metres.

If you have not already heard, Commander closed their financing on July 22nd. The financing was fully subscribed and the total proceeds from the financing amounted to $2,202,000.

A portion of this money will be used to fund drilling on at least three high-priority electromagnetic (EM) conductors on the South Voisey's Bay nickel properties. A drill contract has been finalized and drilling of these high-priority targets is expected to start in early August.

In addition, we are mobilizing a crew to Baffin Island next week to complete detailed mapping and sampling on the newly discovered (2007) gold prospect we call "Hebert." We are also entertaining some site visits by gold companies this season.
