Uranium Star Provides
Exploration Program Update for Sagar Property in Northern Quebec
Uranium Star Corp.
(OTCBB:URST)(FRANKFURT:YE5) is pleased to announce that the planned exploration
program at the Sagar Property is underway.
A land-based air strip has been completed and
is currently in use with flights landing weekly. This will allow for more
cost-effective logistics onsite during the program and in the future as well as
allowing for year-round access to the property.
The first two reverse circulation (RC) drill
holes have been completed and the first diamond drill hole is in progress.
Over 3000 soil samples have been collected
and are in the process of being analyzed by the InnovXsystems-X50 XRF mobile
analyzer.
There is a full 20 man
crew working at Sagar performing a variety of exploration activities. Pictures
of this will be posted at www.uraniumstar.com.
The above activity is
occurring as scheduled and is designed to identify the potential source area of
the Mistamisk Boulder Field. This boulder field, which is approximately 500 X
250 meters in size contains many radioactive boulders. In a Virginia Mines
report, 70 boulders assayed an average of 1.3% Uranium (U) and 64.9g/t Gold
(Au), with values up to 4.11% U and 640 g/t Au.
Kirk McKinnon, President and CEO of Uranium
Star, commented that “We have committed to a large scale program at Sagar and
are pleased that it is progressing as planned. We look forward to updating
investors regularly with our progress.”
