Alto Ventures Retains Investor Relations Professional

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. May 16, 2007. Alto Ventures LTD.
(ATV: TSX-V), ("the Company" or "Alto Ventures") is pleased to announce
that it has engaged the professional (consulting) investor relations
services of Mr. Mark Prosser. The consulting agreement is for an
initial term of 6 months at a rate of CDN $4,500 per month and,
pursuant to the Company's stock option plan, 100,000 incentive stock
options.

Mr. Prosser will provide full-time investor relations services to Alto
Ventures with the primary focus of increasing investor awareness and
exposure of the Company to the investment community at large through
the dissemination of corporate information to a network of North
American and European institutions, retail brokerage firms and private
investors.

Mr. Prosser brings 6 years of investment industry experience to the
Company and also has 12 years of sales and marketing experience. Mr.
Prosser has worked in an investor relations capacity for Minera Andes
Incorporated and most recently with Solex Resources Corporation.

The Company also announces, in accordance to the Company's Stock Option
Plan, a grant to certain consultants, incentive stock options to
purchase 150,000 common shares of the Company exercisable on or before
May 16, 2012 at a price of $0.10 per share.
