Many of these used to trade much higher. But the potential for huge returns is still there. So if you’re looking for a way to make money on penny stocks and not get ripped off on some scam, I’ve got five solid penny stock picks for you to take a look at. Avino Silver and Gold ( ASM ) Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. is engaged in exploration and development of mineral properties. The company primarily explores for silver along with gold, copper and lead. Its properties are mainly located in British Columbia, the Yukon Territory, Mexico and Canada. This was a $3 stock last September. The price of gold put pressure on shares and forced them through the $1 level to penny stock territory. It looks like there may be some support here at the 90 cent level as the commodity channel index dropped down to extreme oversold territory. With a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) and a Momentum and Value Style Score of “A” perhaps the earnings picture is improving. Capstone Mining ( CSFFF ) Capstone Mining Corp. is a Canadian base metals mining company, focused on copper. Their three producing mines are the Pinto Valley copper mine located in Arizona, US, the Cozamin copper-silver mine in Zacatecas State, Mexico and the Minto copper mine in Yukon, Canada. The CSFFF chart shows that a lot of trading took place in the consolidation range between $1 and $1.20. The recent dip below the buck may be the buying opportunity of a lifetime. Look at the dip down in March to 88 cents that was followed by a rally up to $1.40. That’s the type of gain penny stock traders dream about. Warren Resources ( WRES ) Warren Resources, Inc. is a growing independent energy company engaged in the exploration and development of domestic natural gas and oil reserves. Warren is primarily focused on the exploration and development of coalbed methane properties located in the Rocky Mountain region and its water flood oil recovery program in the Wilmington Unit located in the Los Angeles Basin of California. This may be the most oversold of all the stocks here and present the greatest opportunity. Shares have collapsed, coming down from $7 per share just a year ago. From there it looks like we’ve begun to bottom out and crater. The commodity channel index has rebounded from -200 to flash a “Buy” signal just a few short days ago. Also, shares have popped up above the 21-day moving average which is bullish in anyone’s book. Box Ships ( TEU ) Box Ships Inc. is a shipping company owning and operating containerships and vessels. More of a range bound trade here, shares of TEU have come down to test the bottom end of the range. The buying looks to be coming in here as the commodity channel index bottoms. Volumes are still a bit light but in the short term it looks like a reversal is in the works. Here with shares at 84 cents the topside puts us near $1.10. SITO Mobile (SITO) SITO Mobile Ltd. operates as a mobile location-based advertising platform for businesses, advertisers, and brands primarily in the United States and Canada. It offers mobile location-based advertising and mobile messaging platforms to transform digital marketing by delivering targeted mobile advertising campaigns based on geo-location, in-store traffic, and customer response for brands, agencies, and retailers. Bottom Line I’m not saying it’s impossible but it is tough to find penny stocks that will win. If we lean on the strength of the Zacks Rank perhaps we can find that unicorn stock that will lead you to riches. If not, at least you’ll learn something about the strength of earnings estimate revisions along the way.
